Commitments

A co-op is only able to thrive when each member is firmly committed to the good of the community as a whole. Each family is firmly expected to commit to the following:

  • A non-refundable Family Fee of $150 per year to cover facility rental and/or insurance.
    • Pre-Primary or Enrichment students will require an additional fee of $25 each to cover needed classroom supplies

  • The teaching of one full-year course, including intentional preparation and engaged presentation.

  • Participation in a one-on-one teacher development session before the school year starts.

  • Participation in the yearly orientation meeting.

  • The purchase of required books and uniforms. You will receive a customized booklist based on your children’s classes, including tips for ordering.

  • Daily engagement in your student’s work, ensuring understanding, support, and the neat, accurate, and timely completion of all assignments.

  • Faithful adherence to all policies of Zélie Martin Classical. Current policies are detailed in our Family Handbook which is reviewed on a yearly basis; updates may be made during the academic year if circumstances require.

Special Needs

Our director is a special needs homeschooler and we warmly welcome students of varying abilities. If your child has learning challenges or other special needs (whether suspected or diagnosed), please let us know PRIOR to submitting a Membership Request.

While our current students include those with ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and Level 1 ASD, we cannot guarantee that our co-op will be the best fit for all students; but we would love to speak with you to determine if we can be part of your homeschool journey.

Even if we are not a good fit for your family, we strongly believe that no parent should feel alone in their choice to homeschool and we will connect you with resources for homeschooling in the context of special needs.
